I am looking for William Jenkins parents. He was born 5 Oct 1803 died 1 Jan 1881 in Frankfort, Indiana. He married Elizabeth Lick in Ohio. He was a steamboat pilot and lived in Cinncinati, Ohio before moving to Frankfort, Indiana.

Trying to track my Dad's side of the family. His name was James Robert Jenkins born in Ohio to Frances Orin "Jim" Jenkins and Audrey Jenkins. No siblings. His Dad's brother name was Robert Jenkins all were from Ohio. Any help would be appreciated.

Working on the family tree of Samuel Jenkins, born in PA. in 1824/1825. Mothers name was Mary. Sam married Martha Redfern in Vinton County, Ohio in Nov. 1850. Sam died in 1885 in Vincennes, Indiana. My great great grandfather, Steuben Jenkins of Wyoming, PA, shared the podium with President Hayes for the centennial celebration of the Wyoming Massacre. This occurred in northeastern PA during the Revolutionary War. There were conflicting land claims between Connecticut and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Mr. Jenkins was community leader and spokesperson of the region. His daughter married my great grandfather, William S. Jacobs, a store keeper and gentleman farmer of the Wyoming Valley.

My mother's maiden name is Jenkins but because she was only 18 months old when he died we have very little information. We believe that he was born around 1898 - 1901 in Madisonville, TN and died in Louisiana in 1933-35 during a WPA work project. His name was Garland Jenkins.

My father is from Missouri and his father from Oklahoma. Because his father died when he was very young we know very little about my Grandfather's family. I was told they called him Lum and he had a one sister.
